Monthly mindfulness: What’s coming in June
Summer is right around the corner, and your calendar may be starting to fill up with parties, gatherings, and adventures. It’s also a great time to take a pause and check in with your emotional health. Be sure to check out eM Life’s live programs touching on everything from applying mindfulness in your everyday life, to overcoming habitual thought patterns that hold you back, and connecting with your body in kind and nonjudgmental ways.
Mindfulness at Work – June 4
Life comes at us fast, and sometimes hard, and stress affects us all. How we deal with life’s challenges determines our quality of life. With Mindfulness at Work™, ten 30-minute interactive sessions taught by expert mindfulness teacher Jim Austin will help you learn how to apply mindfulness in your everyday life to improve your health, happiness, and performance.
Skill to Thrive in Anxious Times – June 11
For many people, change and uncertainty contribute to added stress and anxiety. This series of six, 60-minute, interactive sessions taught by expert mindfulness teacher Roger Nolan will help you develop the skills to overcome the habitual thought patterns and feelings that get in the way of your day-to-day success and fulfillment at work.
Stop Reacting and Start Responding – June 11 & 28
This program introduces the Body Scan, where you’ll learn to purposefully move your attention around the body in a kind and nonjudgmental way. The body is the storehouse of reactivity and can often tell us when we’re feeling stressed before our minds can. This course introduces a few attitudes of mindfulness (e.g., non-judgment, beginner’s mind, and self-compassion) and Desk Yoga as another way to connect with the body. Join us for this 60-minute session led by expert mindfulness teacher Cindy Gittleman.
