Welcome to eMindful University
eMindful offers a variety of courses developed based on research demonstrating their impact on health improvement. All of eMindful’s classes are offered in our virtual classroom where you can see, hear, and interact with an expert teacher as well as other class participants.
There is a burgeoning literature on mindfulness practices supporting their effectiveness in addressing a range of illnesses. These include depression, anxiety, substance abuse, eating disorders, binge eating, insomnia, chronic pain, psoriasis, Type 2 diabetes, fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, ADHD, cancer, and heart disease.
A wide variety of health problems stem from excessive stress. Mindfulness practices have been repeatedly been shown to significantly reduce stress levels and are ideal for cultivating greater awareness of the unity of mind and body supporting enhanced emotional and physical health.
The mind is known to be a factor in stress and stress-related disorders, and mindfulness has been shown to have a positive impact on a range of autonomic physiological processes, such as lowering blood pressure and reducing overall emotional reactivity.
eMindful is able to offer CEUs for nurses for many of our classes.
