Needs Assessment:

With the emphasis on preventative medicine and the research which indicates that stress has a significant impact on health, healthcare professionals are looking for ways to help themselves and their patients reduce stress levels and its harmful effects on the body, thereby increasing their own, as well as their patients', levels of good health. Teaching stress reduction skills to children will further improve their chances for life-long good health.

Target Audience: Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Psychologists

Educational Objectives:

I. Recognizing the concepts of mindfulness

II. Integrating the connection between, and employing the skills of, mindfulness and stress reduction in children

III. Integrating the connection between, and employing the skills of, mindfulness and attention in children

Method of Participation: This online, interactive learning experience will facilitate the skills of mindfulness practice.
